In the Divan of Hafez, there are poems in which a male patron is illustrated as a charming beloved. In several requires, the poet considers only a male beloved, and thus uncovering the intended meaning behind such verses requires not only familiarity with Hafez’s unique poetic style but also an understanding of the socio-historical status of his era. For a long time, there has been a difference of opinion among scholars and critics regarding the nature and characteristics of the beloved in Hafez’s poetry due to the poet’s use of ambiguity and puns. This essay describes the beloved from the perspective of both physical appearance and behavioral traits, and it also examines verses that directly address a male beloved. This study uses a descriptive and qualitative content analysis methodology, relying on content gathered through desk studies from authoritative sources in the Persian language and literature. The research results suggest that Hafez praises the beloved and the patron through linguistic veils, using literary arrays such as allegory, personification, metaphor, comparative simile, and implicit simile. معشوق در سنت شعری خواجه شیراز در سه سطح قابل‌بررسی است: معشوق زمینی، الهی و عرفانی و معشوقی که هم الهی و هم زمینی است. در دیوان حافظ به اشعاری برمی‌خوریم که ممدوح مذکر خود را همچون معشوقی زیبارو به تصویر کشیده است، همچنین در برخی ابیات معشوق مذکر را در نظر داشته که تنها در صورت آشنایی با سبک سرایش خواجه و با اشراف بر اوضاع اجتماعی و تاریخی دوره زندگی حافظ می‌توان به‌منظور اصلی بیت پی برد. از دیرباز در مورد معشوق و ویژگی‌های معشوقه در شعر حافظ میان محققان و صاحب‌نظران اختلاف بوده است؛ زیرا کلام خواجه در این زمینه با ابهام و ایهام همراه است. در این جستار، توصیف معشوق در سطح خصوصیات ظاهری و رفتاری موردتوجه است و همچنین به اشعاری که در باب معشوق مذکر سروده شده‌اند، اشاره می‌شود. پژوهش حاضر با روش توصیفی تحلیل محتوا به‌صورت کیفی با گردآوری مطالب و مراجعه کتابخانه‌ای به منابع معتبر زبان و ادبیات فارسی انجام می‌شود. یافته‌های تحقیق نشان می‌دهد که خواجه شیراز معشوق و ممدوح را در لفافه‌های زبانی ستایش کرده و برای این منظور از آرایه‌های ادبی نظیر تمثیل، تشخیص (جاندار انگاری)، استعاره، تشبیه تفضیل و تشبیه مضمر بهره فراوان برده است. https://www.qparsi.ir/article_236238_fd6bf3d796b34f4b75aa3338fe78a8f4.pdf
