Review and socio-cultural criticism of the speech of travel and life literature included in the 12th high school Persian book based on Pierre Guiraud's social semiotics approach

Abstract
Background and Objectives: The literature of travel and life, as one of the most important literary genres, not only presents the authors' personal experiences of travel, but also reflects the social and cultural developments of a certain period. In this regard, the speeches related to travel and life in the twelfth Persian book have been selected as an example of this literary style so that their social and cultural effects can be examined and criticized. Pierre Guiraud's method of social semiotics emphasizes on the analysis of signs and their implicit meanings in order to understand the hidden concepts in the text and examines how social, identity and cultural issues are represented in these texts. Methods: Based on this approach, the current research analyzes the various components in the sections related to travel and life literature in the mentioned Persian book and shows how these elements can reflect the attitudes and beliefs of the society on various issues. Findings: The results of this research, which was done in a descriptive-analytical way; It shows that the travel and life literature in the 12th Persian book, in addition to providing geographical and cultural information, has also helped to transmit cultural and social values. By representing the experiences and perspectives of the authors, these texts allow readers to get to know different cultures and societies and gain a better understanding of cultural differences and similarities.
