Abstract
Rudaki Samarqandi is one of the pioneers of Persian poetry and Khurasani style. Rudaki's poetry writing style is based on the simplicity of meaning and fluency of words. The thesis and the main foundation of the poetry of Khurasani style and specifically, Rudaki, is based on the expression of the concept in the simplest possible language and free of any kind of obscenity and complexity. The main purpose of the research is to study and investigate the quantity and quality of using three elements of language, image and emotion in the words of this poet. The research method is descriptive-analytical, which, of course, in the discussion of poetic images, the quantitative frequency of poems was also noticed and paid attention to. The results of the research showed that one of the linguistic features of Rudaki's poetry that makes it close to the language of the people is the shortness of the sentences. Sentences are syntactically short, and the transition from the signifier to the signified is easy for the reader and audience of the poem. In terms of the use of imaginary images and images, the technique of "simile" is the most used (52% of the volume of the chart) with 188 times, and thus has the highest role in the creation of images of the father of Persian poetry, followed by the technique of "irony" with 96 times. Exploitation (26 percent) and "explicit metaphor" with 46 times of use (13 percent) are in the next ranks.
