INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS
Terms and Conditions for Acceptance and Publication of an Article in "quarterly of Critique, analysis and aesthetics of texts
Greetings, respect and thanks for submitting an article to be published in the quarterly journal Criticism, Analysis and Aesthetics of Texts(CAAT). The journal follows the APA style for referencing and writing bibliographies. It is necessary for the authors to follow this method while writing their articles.CAAT invites all Iranian and foreign researchers to contribute to the journal by submitting their papers to the following issues:
Criticism,
text analysis,
text aesthetics,
Analysis of prose texts
Analysis of order texts and all related topics .
The articles considered for publication can be in the following three categories:
In order that The quarterly of Critique,analysis and aesthetics of texts (CAAT) benefits from scholarship and production of the highest order we urge you to adhere to the following submission guidelines. Papers that do not follow these guidelines will be returned to the author:
1.General
1-1.All articles published in CAAT are anonymously peer reviewed.
1-2.Manuscripts should be submitted electronically : www.qpjournal.ir
1-3.When submitting an article, the author must send your information, the name and details of the author, affiliation, phone number, address of all authors in a separate file.
1-4.We ask that the topics abide by our journal’s mission. CAAT focuses on Persian poetics, poetry,classical Persian philology, prose, and the literature of Iran and the broader geographical areas.The journal aims to examine how Persian has functioned as literary and cultural language.
1-5.Contributions must be in persian .The main language of the articles is Farsi. Also, along with the Persian text of the articles, an English abstract should be sent along with the title of the article in English and keywords in English.
1-6.Authors are responsible for observing the laws of copyright when quoting or reproducing material.
1-7.Nowhere in the text of the article should there be any signs or symbols that identify the author. If such signs are found while rejecting the article, the authors will be dealt with according to the opinion of the editorial board.
1-8.Submitting an article to the Quarterly Journal of Criticism, Analysis and Aesthetics of Texts means accepting the rules and regulations specific to the journal.
1-0.The members of the editorial board, the editor and the editor of the magazine have full authority to edit all or part of the article (scientific and linguistic).
1-10.Full responsibility for the text of the article, accuracy of quotations, bibliographic specifications of the sources, is solely the responsibility of the author of the article.
1-11.The responsible author is obliged to complete all the corrections requested by the referees, members of the editorial board, and the editor will be rejected.
1-12.Use bold and italic letters to highlight the word or comma.
1-13.All tables, graphs and pictures should be numbered.
1-14.It is necessary to download, complete, sign and send the conflict of interest and commitment forms of the authors.
1-15.only research articles are published that are validated in peer review process. Derivative papers and other invalid ones in terms of content or structure are not published.
1-16.Manuscripts submitted to any journal should fit the subject and approach of that journal.
1-17Each manuscript will be received and evaluated only through the journals website. Therefore, referring to the website of their intended journal, the authors of the manuscripts should upload and submit the files of their manuscripts there.
1-18.Submitted manuscripts should not be published in any other domestic or foreign publications. Also, after accepting the manuscript for publication, the author is not allowed to publish it in other journals.
1-19.The initial acceptance of a manuscript is conditioned to its full compliance with all terms and conditions set forth in the "Guide for Authors" section.
1-20.Authors' specifications for Reviewers and Reviewer's specifications for authors remain hidden throughout peer review process.
1-21.The editor-in-chief and editorial board of the journal and the reviewers have full authority over the acceptance, correction, and rejection of the manuscripts.
1-22. The general editor of the journal and the editors of the articles have full authority over the formal, technical, and linguistic editing of the manuscripts, but they are not responsible for the editing of the content in any way and have no responsibility for the content of the articles.
1-23.The full responsibility for the accuracy of direct and indirect quotations, the address of the quotations sources, and the bibliographic specifications of the references in the References section is solely for the author of the manuscript.
1-24.The corresponding author of the manuscript is obliged to make all corrections which are asked him/her in peer review or editing process of the manuscript. Otherwise, that manuscript will be removed from peer review or editing or publication process.
2.Authors/author specifications
In preparing the author profile file, the following must be observed:
2.1 Name and surname of all authors should be entered in Persian and English.
2.2 Academic rank or degree, name of academy or organizational affiliation (University, institute, college, etc.) and name of educational or academic field of all authors should be specified in Persian and English.
2.3 The corresponding authors of manuscripts with more than one author should be specified.
2.4 The email addresses of all authors should be entered.
2.5 The corresponding author's home or work place address, postal code, and cell phone number and the telephone number of his/ her work place should be entered.
2.6 All of the above specifications, independently of the manuscript file, should be typewritten in Microsoft Word 2010 and allow to be uploaded to the intended publication's website along with the manuscript file.
3.Formal Specifications of a Manuscript
3.1 Text of the manuscript, without mentioning the author's specifications, should be typewritten in Microsoft Word 2010. Persian text of the manuscript should be in B nazanin font, font size 13; Latin text in Times New Roman font, font size 12.
3.2 The number of manuscript words should not exceed 8thousand words (25 pages).
3.3 The manuscript structure should consist of title page, abstract (maximum 250 words) and keywords (3 to seven words), introduction, main body (analysis, explanations, critiques, findings, etc.), conclusion, and a References.
3.4 Article's title, abstract, keywords, and References should be submitted both in Persian and English.
3.5 The main title and sub-titles of the manuscript, from the introduction title to the conclusion, should be defined, sorted and distinguished through numbering.
3.6 Foreign equivalences of unknown indexes and terminology should be entered in parentheses against their Persian equivalents.
3.7 No footnote should be inserted in the text of the manuscript and supplementary explanations should be given in the endnotes.
3.8 All endnotes should be created automatically (in Microsoft Word, via Reference tab, using Endnotes option) at the end of the document so that it can be immediately accessed to their text at the end of the article by clicking on the note numbers. Therefore, the manuscript will be returned to the author for correction if the endnotes numbers are manually typewritten.
3.9 The size of tables, charts, images, and maps, etc. should be in accordance with the size of the printed text (max. 18×12 cm.).
3.10 Information in tables, charts, images, etc. should be written in Persian. The decimal sign should only be as a diagonal line.
3.11 If tables, charts, images, etc. are obtained from other sources, be sure to indicate the source address.
3.12 All tables should be drawn in Microsoft Word only using the Table option. Tables that are in the form of photographs or drawn using other software are not accepted.
3.13 All the poems are placed in the table and the length of the stanzas is adjusted and arranged.
3-14.The margins of the pages should be 2.5 cm on each side.
3-15. The abstract of the article (English and Farsi) should contain a minimum of 150 words and a maximum of 250 words.
3-16. Keywords should be between 3 and 7 words.
3-17.Main and subheadings should be written in bold font.
3-18.In any case, the title of the article should not exceed 30 words.

4.1 Quotations
4.1.1 If the number of direct quotation words (words quoted literally from other sources) is less than forty words, they should be inserted in quotation marks and if the number of direct quotations words exceeds forty words, at first the font size of the quotations should be one and a half size smaller than the default font size, and then they should be inserted without quotation marks and in a separate paragraph with one and a half centimeters indentation .
4.1.2 The text of indirect quotations (themes of quotations) should not be inserted in quotation marks.
4.1.3 The source of all direct and indirect quotations should be authentic and not quoted in any way from invalid sources (Wikipedia, etc.). Otherwise, in addition to reducing the score in the manuscript review, all invalid quotations will be removed from the manuscript document.
4-2 How to write sources
4.2.1 The bibliographic specifications of references in the address of direct and indirect quotations sources within the text should be briefly recorded in accordance with this style sheet .
4.2.2 The bibliographic specifications of references should completely and in accordance with this style sheet be written at the end of the manuscript text under the title of the References.
4.2.3 The bibliographic section should only include the bibliographic specifications of the references that either a quotation of those references has been stated in the text of the manuscript and whose addresses have been included with those quotations or it has been referred to those references in the manuscript text for further information, and their addresses are also included in those references. Otherwise, all additional sources will be removed from the bibliographies section during peer review or editing process.
4.2.4 In general, in-text citation components of the direct and indirect quotations sources, are respectively: author's surname, publication date, volume number, and page number.

4.2.5 In general, the complete bibliographic specifications of all references in the References section are, respectively: author's surname, author's name, publication date (between parentheses), the book's name (in italics), book proof-reader or translator's name, book or magazine volume number, place of edition, and publisher name.
Example: Emami, Nasrallah (1392) Bar Astan Janan, Ahvaz: Resesh.
4.2.6 The in-text citation of the source of direct and indirect quotations should be written either after or before the quotation texts and after the name of the owner of the quotation. Example for the first case: (after quotation text) "Quotation text" (Emami 1392: 148) ( Example for the second case: (before quotation text) Emami (1392:148) says: "quotation text"
4.2.7 How to cite a book with a specified author:
Example for in-text citation:

4.2.9 How to cite Encyclopedias whose entries have freelance writers:

4.2.12 If there has been cited several works by the same author with the same publication date, after their publication date, it should be entered the abjad numerals in Persian and Arabic sources and the English alphabet (A , B, C. ...) in Latin sources, so that those works can be distinguish. Example for in-text citation:

4.2.15. In recording in-text citation of the quotations source, whenever the author of the new source is the same as the author of the previous source, instead of repeating the author's surname and publication date, it should be used the word "the same" in Persian references and the word "ibid." in English sources.
4.2.16 In recording in-text citation of the quotations source, If, besides being the author of the new source and the author of the previous source the same, the source page number is also the same, only the word "the same" should be used and if, only the page number of new source differs from that of the previous one, the page number should also be entered after the word "the same".
4.2.17 In References, if several works by one author are cited in the manuscript text, the author's name and surname, in all cases, should be fully written and no line, dot, etc. should be drawn instead.
4.2.18 In References, first the bibliographic specifications of the Persian and Arabic sources and then the bibliographic specifications of the Latin sources, etc., should be written in alphabetical order according to the authors' surnames.
4.2.19 In References, the first letter of Latin words (except, prepositions, conjunctions, and articles) should be capitalized. Also, the first letter of the words that are connected by halfline should be capitalized.
4.2.20 The name of the Holy Quran and other divine books should be given before all sources along with the name of the translator, the place of publication and the year of publication.
4.2.21 In writing the list of sources, avoid numbering the sources or writing dashes or any other symbols in separate primary sources.
4.2.22 The titles of the sources used (both books and articles) must be typed in BOLD.
4.2.23 When the year of publication of the source is not known, the word (no date) should be written instead of it in parentheses, and when the name of the publication is not known, the word (no publication) should be written after the name of the city.

5.1 Please use a minimum of page settings. The preferred font setting of your submission draft is 12
pt Times New Roman for english text and B nazanin for persian text. The submission draft should be double spaced. The only relevant codes
5.2 Margin on each side: 2.5 cm
5.3 Line spacing for abstract: single
5.4 Line spacing for the body of the paper: double
5.5 Spacing before paragraph: 0 pt.
5.6 Spacing after paragraph: 6 pt.
5.7 The first line of all paragraphs should be indented with a 0.5 inch tab key.
5.8 Reference style: Both the reference list and in-text citations should be in APA style.
5.9 Tables and figures: Tables and figures must be included in the text and must be in APA format.
5.10 Document size: A4 paper size .
5.11 If classic poems are used in the article, the poems must be placed in the table attached to the formatting file. So that the first column (first stanza) and the second column (second stanza) are 6 cm, and the distance between them is one centimeter.

The poems should be written in the table with a pen (B NAZANIN 12 thin) and should be in the justify state.
Authors are strongly advised to run a plagiarism check on their manuscript, and they need to upload the file as a supplementary when submitting their manuscript. The Editorial Office also has the right to check the similarity index. By submitting your manuscript to CAAT, you accept that your manuscript may be screened for plagiarism against previously published works. Please be informed that CAAT takes plagiarism quite seriously , and the authors are cautioned against this. Authors submitting plagiarized material (either from self or from others) will enter a blacklist and will be unable to make future submissions to the Journal .
Note : To prevent plagiarism, the journal reviews all articles with HAMTAJO software.
All authors are requested to disclose any possible conflict of interest, sources of funding, financial or non-financial interests, study-specific approval by the appropriate ethics committee for research involving humans, and informed consent if the research involved human participants.

11.Repository policy
Authors can save their articles (submitted version, accepted version or published version) on their website or repositories related to other organizations.
Authors can also save a copy of their article in Sherpa/Romeo.
12.Authorship Principles
CAAT and the publisher assume all authors agreed with the content and that all gave explicit consent to submit and that they obtained consent from the responsible authorities at the institute/organization where the work has been carried out before the work is submitted.
