چکیده
پادشاهان به عنوان یکی از چهرههای شاخص در عرصه سیاست، بسیار توسط شاعران مدّاح درباری ستایش شدهاند؛ امّا آیا در ورای این چهره محبوب و آرمانی در قصاید مدحی، چهرهای معمولی و یا حتّی منفور و نامحبوب وجود داشته است یا خیر؟ پژوهش حاضر بر آن است تا به روش تحقیق کیفی، از نوع تحلیلی ـ توصیفی و به شیوه متنپژوهی، زوایایی ناشناخته و مبهم از شخصیت سلطان سنجر را بر مبنای متون کهنِ تاریخی و ادبی همچون چهارمقاله، تاریخ جهانگشا، سلجوقنامه، راحهالصدور و دیوانهای انوری، سنایی، امیر معزّی، عبدالواسع جبلی و سوزنی سمرقندی واکاوی کند. یافتهها نشان میدهد با وجود این که سلطان سنجر در کنار سلطان محمود غزنوی به عنوان یکی از مقتدرترین و عادلترین پادشاهان ایران معروف شده است، باید گفت او شخصیتی خاکستری داشته است؛ نه کاملاً مثبت و نه کاملاً منفی؛ نه انوشیروان دوران بوده است و نه ضحّاک زمان. در سیمای آرمانی سنجر، ویژگیهای مثبتی همچون شاعرنوازی و کشورگشایی جلوهگر است و عبدالواسع جبلی، انوری و سوزنی سمرقندی، او را با اغراق شاعرانه ستایش کردهاند و در چهره منفی و ناخوشایندش، امیر معزّی را هر چند ناخواسته هدف تیر قرار داده، از شاعری ادیب صابر نام در جهت مقاصد سیاسی استفاده ابزاری کرده و حتی محمّد غزالی نامهای گلایهآمیز از اوضاع پریشان عصر و وضع رقّتبار مردم به او نوشته است.

چکیده [English]
As one of the leading figures in politics kings have been widely praised by court poets. But beyond this popular and ideal face has there been an ordinary or even hated and unloved face in the madahi poems? The present study aims to investigate research of descriptive analytical type and the method of textual research vague angles of Sultan Sangars character based on ancient literary and historical texts as Chaharmagale Tarikhe Gahangosha Saljugname Rahatosodur and Anvari Sanaei Amir Moezzi Abdolvase Jabali and Suzani Samargandi Divans.
The finding show that although Sultan Sangar along with Sultan Mahmoud Ghaznavi is known as one of the most powerful and justice kings of Iran It must be said that He had a gray character neither compeletly positive nor compeletly negative. He was not Anoshiravn of age nor Zahak of time .In Sangars ideal image are reflected positive features such as respect to poets and opening the country and Abdolvase Jabali Anvari and Suzani Samargandi praised him by poetic exaggerations and in his negative and unpleasant face he targeted Amir Moezzi although unintentionally. From the poet was named Adib Saber used in the direction of political purpose. Even Mohammad Gazzali sent a letter of complaint about the disturbing situation of the time and the plightof the people to him.
